Construction activity begins the week of July 22, 2024. The first phase of construction is site preparation and includes earthwork/grading, removing fixtures/utilities, and landscape work.
During any ground-disturbing activities, archaeological and tribal monitors will be on-site. Their presence ensures that any discovered indigenous cultural resources or human remains are appropriately managed according to the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for this project. To date, no indigenous cultural resources or human remains have been found at People's Park.
